Southern Hill's very own Jessie Feather has an exhibition of her artwork at the Oklahoma State Capitol Buidling!
Her work will be on display in the North Gallery of the State Capitol building in Oklahoma City through the end of September.

We are a growing, living church, where there is something for everyone! We are currently looking for those interested in coordinating upcoming events and activities for: trunk-a-treat, SHUMC Chili Cook-Off, Christian Education material (children & youth ministry), and follow-up calls to the parents of the Project Transformation children.

All-church garage sale

The SHUMC Garage Sale has been postponed until next spring. However, if you have items you are ready to donate, we are ready to take them! They will be stored upstairs. Some items we already have will be sold on Facebook Marketplace, with the help of Dale Hill. Thank you, Dale!

There's no better way to begin the worship service than spending some time with God! You will go into the sanctuary with eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart wide open to His Word. For the early church, prayer was not an afterthought, or the Christian way to start and end a meeting. Prayer was not an addendum to the “real work” of the apostles. Prayer was central then and it must be for us now. So join Jann Ley and Pastor Tracey this Sunday at 10:00am, as we spend a special time in prayer for Southern Hills UMC, for our leaders, our members, our building, and our impact on the community in service to the Kingdom God.

God invites us to "give our spiritual gifts away" through service. God will reveal our gifts through His Holy Spirit. Believers should pray and study what God says about gifts in His Word. We should also remember God uses other believers to affirm our gift. Sometimes God may also use spiritual gift assessment tools to reveal His gifts.
